Time and space for you...to breathe

You’re capable. You’re busy. You keep going. But when was the last time you really stopped and paused? Perhaps your mind rarely switches off. Maybe you feel like you’re constantly “on”, carrying responsibility for everyone else and pushing through, even when you’re exhausted...

When did you last properly stop?

Life can be full-on. Work, family, responsibilities and an endless list of things that need doing.

You keep going because that’s what you do. But perhaps your mind rarely switches off, you’re feeling more tired than usual, or stress is beginning to show up in your body.

Sometimes we become so used to being busy and thinking our way through everything that we stop noticing how we actually feel.

A guided breathwork session gives you the chance to step out of all that for a while.

Why the breath matters

Breathing is something we do all day without giving it much thought. But how we breathe can both reflect and influence how we feel.

When we’re stressed or under pressure, our breathing can become faster, shallower or more restricted. Slowing it down and paying attention to it can send the body a different message: that it’s safe to ease out of high alert.

Research into slow, controlled breathing suggests it may help support the part of our nervous system involved in rest and recovery. Focusing on the breath also gives the mind something simple and physical to return to, which is why breathing plays such an important part in many mindfulness practices.

It won’t make life’s pressures disappear. But it can help us notice what’s happening, settle ourselves and respond with a little more space and choice.

A little time and space for you

I’m Sue Negus, Founder of Feel First Breathe. I offer calm, supportive breathwork sessions lasting around 90 minutes.

You don’t need any experience and there’s nothing to prove or get right. You won’t be expected to share anything you would rather keep to yourself.

Just come as you are. I’ll meet you there.

What happens in a session?

We’ll start by talking about how you’re feeling and noticing your natural breathing patterns, including where stress or tension may be showing up in your body.

I’ll then guide you through breathwork and simple awareness exercises, giving you time to settle, quieten the mental chatter and reconnect with yourself.

You’ll also learn a few straightforward breathing techniques to use at home, at work or whenever life starts to feel like too much.

You may leave with:

  • A better understanding of your own breathing patterns
  • Practical ways to steady yourself when pressure builds
  • A little more calm and clarity
  • A stronger sense of what your body needs
  • The feeling that you’ve finally had time to stop and listen

Breathwork isn’t a magic fix, and I won’t promise an overnight transformation.

It’s simply a chance to slow down, breathe and create a little room for something to shift.

Would you like to try it?

You can book a one-to-one session with me or join one of my small group sessions at Lyona. Group sessions are limited to six people, so they remain relaxed and personal.

If you’re curious but aren’t sure whether breathwork is for you, please give me a call or send me an email. I’d be very happy to have a chat.
